Yes, boys and girls, you are looking at the new Jaguar C-X75 concept!
And you won't believe me if I told you this thing is jet-engined, right? Well, it is...
Sorry to disappoint you, but there won't be any wings coming out of the side of the car when it hits 200 km/h, so no flying just yet;)
This is how it works. Each wheel has its own electric engine powered by lithium-ion batteries, each one producing 195 horse power. So multiply that by four, you get 780 horse power! That is a lot for a car running on batteries!!
So, where does the jet engine come in? Well, since technology haven't yet allowed us to have unlimited life batteries, we either have to replace them or charge them. Thus, Jaguar fitted two micro gas-turbines that will go up to 80 000 rpm to charge the batteries while you're driving. Quite interesting...
So, I think I'm going to sell my car and buy me a jet with four wheels next time. Who's with me?
Most of us know that the new Chevrolet Camaro got its stripes in the movie Transformers, where one of the autobots, called "Bumblebee", transformed into one of these.
Since then, the Camaro caught up nicely and got quite popular. And now, Chevrolet decided to make it faster!
This is the Chevrolet Camaro HPE600 and she'll cost you $30 000, which I probably would pay if I had that kind of money;)
Just look at her. A face that tells you that she WILL send thrills down your spine and make you enjoy every moment with her. With an old school, rugged body and black rims, it surely doesn't get better than this!
I'd even go as far as getting super insurance on this car that covers everything, even paint fading as the result of sunlight! Then I'll show her off in according fashion;)
So, the answer is yes! I will sell my car and buy me a dragonfly!
Now, as far as supercars go, we all know which one would eat you up on a straight line, then spit you out and leave you for dead at the side of the road.
Yes, I'm talking about the Bugatti Veyron. The one that dices Eurofighters in it's free time? That one!
And now, the guys at Bugatti decided that it wasn't fast enough any more, so they threw on some orange paint and made it faster...
As legend goes, the Bugatti Veyron is capable of doing 412km/h, which means your teeth will sit in your throught and your eyes will move to the side of your head, like a bird's, and then when you hit the brakes, it all will move back into their normal positions.
But this model, the Super Sport, will go up to 430km/h!! Meaning your face WILL come off and your eyeballs will find a nice spot in your brain! Strange what a little orange paint can do to a car, maybe they got the idea from the man who painted his Ford Focus orange and called it a ST. That worked out nicely, didn't it?
None the less, if I had a Bugatti Veyron, I'd sell my car and get me one of these orange monsters!
