Gran Turismo 5 is here!!

To be quite frank, I could've put any picture of any car on a race track in this post, you would have believed me that it comes out of Gran Turismo 5. I mean, look at it...


Yes, this game has been highly anticipated for quite a while now, and it finally hit the stores this week! If you're lucky enough to be an owner of a PlayStation 3, then you'd better get your hands on a copy!


Throughout the years, Gran Turismo was known as THE PlayStation racing game, the rest was just there to pass time. And I can't agree more with that statement. No other racing game gave you the HUGE car selection, the endless events and track layouts, upgrades, rallies, endurance races, pit stops, this formed part of the best racing game you could get your hands on!


Today, we see a different story...


Forza Motorsport 3 came to light for the Xbox 360, including all of the above I just mentioned. Proving to be the main competitor for Gran Turismo, but in my mind, it's down to what console you have. Because both Forza and Gran Turismo are amazing to play, making you spend countless hours in front of your television.


That's the thing about racing games, no worries about scratching your brand new Ferrari, no auto insurance payments at the end of the month, a reset button when things go wrong, and a big smile on your face when you are the most wanted on the police list. How come life has to be complicated?

The fastest racer EVER!

As we all know, motorsport has limits and restrictions due to a whole lot of safety precautions and all that stuff. But what would happen if they would all suddenly disappear?


The simple answer to that question is a lot of racers will lose their lives on the circuit, so they're staying where they are. So, what's the alternative?


We call it racing games!


The car in the picture is none other than the Red Bull X1, a prototype racer made for Gran Turismo 5, and this thing has no limits...


Sebastian Vettel was given the opportunity to blast around the Nurburgring in it, and the results are staggering!!


The chances that this car would ever see the light of day in real life, is pretty slim, but no one can get hurt in a racing game, right? Here's a nic little video clip to give you an idea...
