This weekend was as seat-gripping as everyone thought it would be, starting off with Nico Hulkenberg taking pole position by more than a second from the two Red Bulls! What a stunner!!
But Nico couldn't hold on to it for as long as he would've, it took Sebastian Vettel only one corner to pass his fellow German.
Mark Webber followed suit soon after and the Red Bulls disappeared in a distance. But when Alonso got past Hulkenberg, he put his foot down to catch the two Red Bulls, an effort all in vain, but at least he got third place, putting him in the dominant position to take this year's title race.
Red Bull clinched the constructors' title yesterday, great job! Now they need to focus on the last race and come up with a winning strategy for their drivers. Technically, there are still four drivers in the running, but Lewis Hamilton can only hope for a miracle, seeing that he's 22 points adrift. Webber is 8 points behind Alonso and Vettel 15 points behind the Spaniard. Now this creates a nail biter...
Should Alonso win the race, he becomes world champion, but Should Webber win, Alonso needs to come in second in order to take the title, which would prove difficult, seeing that Vettel in on a charge. If Vettel wins the race, no matter where Webber finishes, Alonso needs to come in fifth to take the title.
Should Webber come in second and Alonso finish fourth, we have a draw in points, but Alonso would have won more races than Webber, leaving Alonso as the Champion.
So, this year's world champion is between The two guys from Red Bull and the Spaniard from Ferrari.Who will win??
