Alonso takes the lead!

What a race... What a turn of events!

This weekend's Formula 1 Grand Prix took place in South Korea and delivered a roller coaster ride for everyone!

The two Red Bulls started in a good postion and had control of the race, hoping to clinch the constructors' title in the process, but a turn in events saw Webber crash out and Vettel having an engine failure, making it the fourth race this season that he could've won if his car didn't decided to stay with him till the end of the race.

Button failed to score any points this season and Hamilton managed a second place, but the guy who couldn't believe his luck, was Fernando Alonso, who climbed onto the top step of the podium in what would be a "lucky win".

Alonso, standing on 231, is leading the title race now from Webber, a mere 11 points adrift, with Hamilton third on 210 and Vettel down to fourth on 206.

It's been a hard weekend in the Red Bull camp, but they can still make something happen. Or will Alonso make history repeat itself and follow in Kimi Raikkonen's footsteps?

Another trend in Formula 1, is that the winner of the first race usually end up being the world champion at the end of the year. We're going to have to wait and see what lies ahead in the final two races, taking place in Brazil, then off to Abu Dhabi for the season finale!
