Some of you may recognize the three faces you're seeing on your right hand side. Some of you were still in dipers when this guy with the lethal death stare at the top was racing. Some of you have heard stories about someone who could pass five cars in four turns when it suddenly started raining. Well children, Those tales are true...
Of course, if you know anything about cars, you'll be able to recognize these two guys from a mile away. The one who looks like he's going to cry, is none other than Juan Pablo Montoya, NASCAR driver and former Formula 1 driver. The other one, who always celebrates a grand prix win as if it's his first, the one I grew up with, Michael Schumacher. Now, as some of you know, his glory days with Ferrari got to an end just as they wanted to employ him as the main car finance clerk. He decided to phone up an old buddy and race again instead.
But going back to those days, we had some interesting races between The Good(being Michael) and The Bad(being Juan Pablo). Michael, always cool headed and smooth as a driver, facing Juan Pablo, the guy who drives like a wild fire. Usually, the case would be Michael putting a move on Juan, and Juan just driving Michael off the road. Then Michael got clever and passed Juan using the pit stops. Leap forgging past him with pure strategy.
It delivered some fearce racing which led to Juan joining McLaren and frustrasting the living hell out of Kimi. Which led to Juan joining NASCAR, where he is at home.
But now, if we rewind the clock a bit more to the late 80's, early 90's, we find a guy dirving a Marlboro McLaren who doesn't care where you park your car or what your mom calls you, as long as you're not in his way. This guy drove in a time where the cars weren't taking any fuel onboard, like today, meaning it was only tyres.
This guy once held on for the win in Monaco with nothing but pure non-grip super-slip rubber sliding him through the corners as Mansell couldn't find any possible way past him, dispite his brandd new tyres. This guy had the perfect mix between the good and the bad, knowing exactly where to put his car, no matter the conditions, and not let you pass!
This guy was voted the best F1 driver, by F1 drivers. He truly was the best... Ayrton Senna
